Ok, I've just finished a commission for a lovely client and thought I'd share them with you before I post them away to their new home. The brief was for custom-designed Sea Fan paintings in a rich red, and this is the result:

Design crush - Elizabeth Kimberly Design

Although I can't remember how I found this, one thing I do know is that there's a whole lot of loveliness to be found in the portfolio of Elizabeth Kimberly Design. Classic with a quirky twist, there's something special that sets these projects apart from the everyday.

Wow, what a great week! I've been lucky enough to have some wonderful blog friends mention Driftwood Interiors over the past few days, and a thank you or three is definitely in order.

About a month ago, I posted my plans for a big giveaway party, in honour of all of you who visit my blog. Well, the giveaway of all giveaways is still in the planning stages, so in the meantime, I've decided to celebrate the opening of my Etsy and MadeIt shops instead.

Plotting and planning

Just a quick post this morning, as I have some some serious scheming to do. You might have noticed my little blog is very close to having 300 followers, and to show how much I appreciate each and every one of you, I'm planning a big giveaway party. Original artwork giveaway

You might remember I mentioned a little giveaway I had planned to celebrate all of you lovelies who pop in to read this blog of mine? After all, it's you who've made my foray into the blogosphere so rewarding, not to mention downright fun! Well, I thought it might be fun to give away the winner's choice of an original painting from my soon-to-be-released range of affordable artwork. I know it can be hard to find pieces to suit your decor, without breaking the bank, so I'm planning a new range of paintings to suit your style and budget.

Here's a little taste of the new range, and the winner will get to choose one of these four paintings:

'Fresco' - heavily textured, tactile paintings

'Verve' - abstract works, featuring silver or gold leafing

'Drift' - seascapes and coastal-themed works

'Flora' - floral studies and botanical works
