Below you could to admire on a modern bathroom design, which is made in a popular and very trendy black and white color scheme. This bathroom is quite sober, that’s why such design could ideally fit for men. Although it could be good for all other people who appreciate modern style and don’t like warm and bright interiors. The bathroom looks very elegant thanks to combination of matt walls and high gloss cabinets. The stripped wall adds an additional originality to the room. All furniture is made in minimalist style and is characterized by simple shapes and straight lines.

This apartment is located on level 16 of a circular 18 storey high tower in Darling Point, Sydney and takes up the whole floor. The location allows occupants to gain extensive views of the harbour, its bridge and the Opera House. Its latest interior design is done in modern style which maximize 360 degree views potential by Stanic Harding.

Spaces are radial than orthogonal and each room has as good connection to full window bays as possible. The ceiling treatment in the public spaces is designed to enhance this circular sense by installing thin, flush fitting fluorescent strips radiating out to the perimeter. This provides for a stronger and cleaner ceiling plane that is contributing to the quality of the space. The central core responds to the perimeter with the curved surface made up of beautifully finished panels upholstered in a padded wool fabric. These are either fixed or are secret doors to storage or robe areas. Vertical strip lighting located at set centres divide panels and provide feature or mood lighting.

Quiet Time- A Personal Request and The B Word

I wrote the rest of this post before today but I wanted to start with a personal request. My Dad is from Chile and my entire family on my Dad's side all live there. As of this morning almost everyone has been accounted for and while there is quite a bit of damage to their personal possessions it is such a relief to know everyone is safe. But if you don't mind please say a prayer for them and the rest of the people of Chile. We are still waiting to speak to the rest of the family, hear the condition of our house down there and the details of the damage for everyone else. I am not on my computer but I did find this picture of my parents and Patrick and I at one of our favorite restaurants in Chile...
All prayers would be greatly appreciated! Now on to today's original post.....

Being an Interior Decorator usually the "B" word is Budget (just kidding...kind of), but lately it has been Balance or lack of it. My New Years resolution was to find balance and while I think I am getting better I still have a long way to go. This week I came across this verse on Darby's blog and it brought me right back where I needed to be....

Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10

Cheap, library-themed walls

On a recent trip to my friend Holly's flat, I admired a nicely framed trio of classic Penguin book covers, something to which I am extremely partial (as you can see from the gallery pictures, above).

Then Holly explained this was just the tip of the literary-themed iceberg - the threesome were, fabulously, part of a box-set of one hundred (a whole hundred!) postcard book covers. Now all she needed was more frames...

Postcards from Penguin cost just £14.99 and include covers as different as PG Wodhouse's My Man Jeeves to Anthony Burgess's A Clockwork Orange.

Postcard-size frames from Ikea are great if you're on a budget - they do quite a few from shiny cardboard ones in various colours, to chunkier wooden ones.

My kinda needlework

I'm not a natural with a sewing machine. In fact, it's not even the machine bit that stumps me, it comes earlier - all that measuring, cutting, drawing straight lines with tailor's chalk...

It's like cooking, you're either good at cakes (measuring, following instructions) or freestyle 'creations' (the 'blindly bumbling through a recipe even though you have fewer than half the ingredients in the fridge' school).

I'm crap at making cakes.

But I think patchwork may well be the blunderer-friendly version of sewing. And with this lovely practical beginner's guide book, costing just £6.99 in the V&A Shop sale, there's nothing stopping me from finding out.

I Wonder...

Why pink chairs are calling my name lately....And what this is on the wall and if I need to recreate this in a childrens room I am working on....

The Sundarbans is a beautiful forest in bangladesh. in Sundarbans many varieties of the natural mangrove forest have much to offer to an inquisitive visitor. The forest lies at the feet of the Ganges and is spread across areas of Bangladesh and West Bengal, India, forming the seaward fringe of the delta. The seasonally-flooded Sundarbans freshwater swamp forests lie inland from the mangrove forests. The forest covers 10,000 km2 of which about 6,000 are in Bangladesh.
